Vacation Program Descriptions

Monday (Feb 15th)
Morning Experiment #1: Every day we'll do a fun experiment using the scientific method: formulate a hypothesis, perform an experiment, analyze the data, and draw a conclusion. Robotics: With Lego Mindstorms you'll build and program a robot. You'll learn the basics of programming then set your creation loose!
Afternoon Light-up Picture: Learn about electric currents and completing the circuit.

Tuesday (Feb 16th)
Morning Experiment #2:Every day we'll do a fun experiment using the scientific method: formulate a hypothesis, perform an experiment, analyze the data, and draw a conclusion. Robotics: With Lego Mindstorms you'll build and program a robot. You'll learn the basics of programming then set your creation loose!
Afternoon Prehistoric Puppets: Create paper prehistoric puppets and map out a spiraling timeline of life on Earth.

Wednesday (Feb 17th)

Thursday (Feb 18th)

Afternoon Bird Fun: Midwinter is a tough time for our feathered friends, especially the native birds of North America. Make their days better with birdfeeders!

Friday (Feb 19th)
Morning Experiment #5: Every day we'll do a fun experiment using the scientific method: formulate a hypothesis, perform an experiment, analyze the data, and draw a conclusion. Robotics: With Lego Mindstorms you'll build and program a robot. You'll learn the basics of programming then set your creation loose!
Afternoon Catapult Comparisons: We'll explore the many factors that go into flinging objects across the room as we build and test out catapults.





Vacation Week Tuition

Dates: Feb 15th- 19th
Program hours: 9:00am-4:00pm.

Daily Schedule: Morning is one science class and one technology class, followed by lunch and recess. We then get back to learning with a fun educational activity in the afternoon.
Extended hours: Extended AM hours are offered starting at 8:15am at an additional cost of $8 per day.
Extended PM hours are offered from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at an additional cost of $8 per half hour.
Cost: Daily tuition: $95
