Vacation Program Descriptions

Friday (April 13th)
Morning Rockets: Now you can say you've done rocket science! Robotics: With Lego Mindstorms you'll build and program a robot. You'll learn the basics of programming then set your creation loose!
Break Exploded Soda: Fuel up!
Afternoon Lego Contraptions/Animation: Create moving gear-filled contraptions or use stop motion to make a video where anything can move.

Tuesday (April 17th)
Morning Weird Botony: Learn about the amazing extremes some plants survive, and make a plant of your own revive from apparent death! Robotics: With Lego Mindstorms you'll build and program a robot. You'll learn the basics of programming then set your creation loose!
Break Carrot Cake: Rooty goodness.
Afternoon Lego Contraptions/Animation: Create moving gear-filled contraptions or use stop motion to make a video where anything can move.

Wednesday (April 18th)
Morning Bee No More?: What's going on with the decline of bees, and can anything be done about it? Robotics: With Lego Mindstorms you'll build and program a robot. You'll learn the basics of programming then set your creation loose!
Break Bee Candy: Queen-approved!
Afternoon Lego Contraptions/Animation: Create moving gear-filled contraptions or use stop motion to make a video where anything can move.

Thursday (April 19th)
Morning Cambrian Cuties: Everyone knows the dinosaurs, but far stranger life once ruled this planet. Robotics: With Lego Mindstorms you'll build and program a robot. You'll learn the basics of programming then set your creation loose!
Break Trilo-bites: Extinction's never been so delicious.
Afternoon Lego Contraptions/Animation: Create moving gear-filled contraptions or use stop motion to make a video where anything can move.

Friday (April 21st)
Morning Mars: How close are we to colonizing the red planet? We'll make Mars soil as wel learn about the challenges life on Mars holds. Robotics: With Lego Mindstorms you'll build and program a robot. You'll learn the basics of programming then set your creation loose!
Break Mars Rocks: Crunchy.
Afternoon Lego Contraptions/Animation: Create moving gear-filled contraptions or use stop motion to make a video where anything can move.





Vacation Week Tuition

Dates: April 13th, 17th - 20th.
Program hours: 9:00am-4:00pm.

Daily Schedule: Morning is one science class and one technology class, followed by lunch and recess. We then get back to learning with a fun educational activity in the afternoon.
Extended hours: Extended AM hours are offered starting at 8:15am at an additional cost of $8 per day.
Extended PM hours are offered from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at an additional cost of $8 per half hour.
Cost: Daily tuition: $85
