Morning Astro Academy:Astronauts went to the Moon, built the International Space Station and are now planning to go to Mars. What does it take to be an astronaut, mission specialist or astronautical engineer? Find out as we explore space as astro-cadets. LEGO Robotics: Use Lego Technic and the MINDSTORMS programming system to build and program your own robotic inventions! Using motors, sensors and imagination, we'll work on projects like art-bots, maze-runners, creature-bots, robo-soccer, and others!
Afternoon Construction Zone: Calling all builders! Learn to safely use tools as you build things using wood, PVC, foamcore and other materials. Take home your creations to show off and enjoy.

6/29 - 7/3 (Week 2, GRADES 1-3)
Morning Ecosystem Adventures: Learn about plants, soil, and ecosystems by making miniature biomes each day to take home, from underwater aquascape to a dinosaur terrarium showcasing the evolution of plant life. Then after making our miniature ecosystems, we'll take a nature walk to experience the real one behind the school. Stop-Motion Animation: An egg-shaped blob of clay transforms into a fire-breathing dragon! Learn how to create the illusion of motion with everyday materials like LEGOs, toys, clay, and paper cutouts. Bring your creative ideas to life with stop-motion animation software and your imagination.
Afternoon Volcanology: August 24th, A.D. 79: Mount Vesuvius explodes and quickly buries Pompeii and Herculaneum in deep ash. Learn how shifting plates of the Earth's crust can cause explosive eruptions, massive earthquakes, and giant tsunamis. Build your own volcano model and invent your own lava recipe. We'll load up the magma chamber and ERUPT our volcanoes! Watch out, unsuspecting city! You shouldn't have built so close to a volcano!

7/6 - 7/10 (Week 3, GRADES 1-3)
Morning Candy Lab: There's a lot of chemistry that goes into making candy. Discover the secrets behind your favorite sweets and learn to control the chemistry of sugar to make your own candy. LEGO Robotics: Use Lego Technic and the MINDSTORMS programming system to build and program your own robotic inventions! Using motors, sensors and imagination, we'll work on projects like art-bots, maze-runners, sumo-bots, robo-soccer, and others!
Afternoon Dungeoneers Guild: As you search a dungeon by torchlight a giant troll steps out of the shadows, and he looks mad! What will you do? Run, fight, cast a spell? The choice is yours as you and your friends play heroes in a fantasy world using the Dungeons and Dragons rules. You'll search dungeons, solve riddles, fight monsters and hopefully escape with the treasure and your life. Make sure to bring your imagination!

7/13 - 7/17 (Week 4, GRADES 1-3)
Morning Wonderful Eggs: Lots of creatures hatch from eggs. How do they grow while they are inside the shell? What happens after they hatch? Why are eggs such a good place for babies? We'll hatch some eggs to see what happens. We'll also look at seeds. What's inside a seed and how do plants sprout and grow? Scratch Programming: Create and code your own games and animations while applying logic and mathematical concepts such as Cartesian coordinate, variables, subroutines and broadcasting. Publish your creation on the Internet and share them with your friends!
Afternoon Monsters of Myth and Magic: From the evil whales of Iceland and shapeshifting foxes of Asia to the airplane gremlins and Bigfoot, every culture across the globe loves stories of weird monsters. Learn about the history and true indentity behind the beasts of myth like the Loch Ness monster, and make up your own tales as well! "student.

7/20 - 7/24 (Week 5, GRADES 1-3)
Morning Electric Boss: How do electrical devices work? How does energy get from a battery to a light bulb? Learn how electric circuits, batteries and motors work, then use your imagination to design and build your own electric devices like a boss! LEGO Robotics: Use Lego Technic and the MINDSTORMS programming system to build and program your own robotic inventions! Using motors, sensors and imagination, we'll work on projects like art-bots, maze-runners, sumo-bots, robo-soccer, and others!
Afternoon Med School: Be a student doctor! How do doctors know what to do when someone is sick? What causes disease? What do broken bones look like in X-rays? Dissect a fetal pig to see how organ systems interact in the body. Learn about the human body and how it functions, and find out why doctors scramble when they hear the words “Code blue!”

7/27 - 7/31 (Week 6, GRADES 1-3)

We'll learn about spiders, millipedes, sowbugs and others that live in the fields and woods around us.
Afternoon Vet School: Do you love animals? As a vet in training you'll learn about how to care for pets, diagnose illness and how to treat injured animals in an emergency.
