Summer Program Description

7/23 - 7/27 (Week 5 - GRADES 4-8)
Morning FLL Bootcamp: Are you interested in the First Lego League competition? The FLL tournament has two parts that the student must master: the robot game and the technical project. The class will consist of two hours of robot game programming and design, and one hour of science proje ct preparation.
This class is offered as a half day class, with the option to participate in the regular camp afternoon activity. Students who choose the half day option will not stay for lunch, pick up is at 12:30.

Afternoon Option Dungeoneers Guild: You are searching old ruins by the light of a flickering torch. Suddenly a giant troll steps out of the shadows, and he looks mad! What will you do? Run, fight, cast a spell? The choice is yours as you and your friends play heroes in a fantasy world using the Dungeons and Dragons rules. Search dark dungeons, solve insidious riddles, fight monstrous evil and finally escape with the fabulous treasure. Make sure to bring your imagination!

7/30 - 8/3 (Week 6 - GRADES 4-8)

Afternoon Option It's About Time: How did ancient people tell time? What were the first clocks like? Is time travel possible? Why do sailors need good clocks? We'll learn about time and timepieces as we build our own clocks.

8/6 - 8/10 (Week 7 - GRADES 4-8)

Afternoon Option Web Design: Learn to code in HTML and create your own website. Make it fun and interactive by adding menus, images, video files, animation and sound, then publish it so you can share with your friends!

8/13- 8/17 (Week 8 - GRADES 4-8)

Afternoon Option Pokemania: Love Pokemon? We'll delve into the strange origins of the many Pokemon species. Find out why a flamethrower skunk like Stunky is closer to becoming reaity than you'd expect. Why does Parasect have such strange dead white eyes? Work out the ecology and physics of the Pokemon world, and play Pokemon!
8/24 - 8/27 (Week 9 - GRADES 4-8)

Summer Tuition

Dates: July 23rd - August 24th.
Program hours:
Half day: 9:00am-12:30
Full day: 9:00am-4:00pm.

Each day has an all-morning FLL class. The full day also includes a non-FLL afternoon program.
Extended hours: Extended AM hours are offered from 8:15am to 8:45am at an additional cost of $8.
Extended PM hours are offered from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at an additional cost of $8 per half hour.
Cost: Tuition:
$225 for half day.
$425 for full day.
Campers get a free t-shirt & toy with the first week's tuition and a bonus educational toy for every additional week.
Tuition payment: A $50 non-refundable deposit per week is due at registration. The remaining amount can be paid at any point between registration and the first day of enrollment.
